Howard House Music and Sound is a full A/V sound and music production and recording company. From vocals to mixing, from recording to editing, from designing to board operation, and many other theatre and film roles; the staff at Howard House Music and Sound have the knowledge, experience, and professionalism required!
Vocal and performance
Solo performance, band fronting, background vocals and tracks, are the absolute foundation of Howard House Music and Sound. We've opened for and shared stages with many A-list to c-list celebrity performers; vocalist and musicians alike. Though its extremely enjoyable, it requires an ever-evolving work-flow understanding due to the constant development of technology. Similarly, producing or co-producing require that same acute attention to detail and core level understanding. Weddings, bar mitzvas, beachfront bars, clubs, college parties / functions, and movies tracks are Just a few items that Howard House Music and Sound have been a part of.
Sound Design and Board Op
Howard House Music and Sound believes that the most important aspect behind anything you see is how it sounds! In fact, the very best visually shot or performed piece is arguably less impressive without the proper high quality accompanying audio and tracks. From the ambient and background sounds, to the Foley and SFX elements, to the dialogue between characters itself, all require specific attention to prevent them from being more of a distraction rather than a supportive and complementing element. Howard House Music understands this and is experienced in capturing, creating, and designing an enriching and immersive sound experience for any piece of work.
Location Shoot
Howard House Music and Sound knows that as important as sound is, It's especially crucial to have strong knowledge and experience when recording sound for film. Capturing good, clear, usable sound that's generally competing with other external elements like wind, or traffic, or even the hum of a background AC unit, can be detrimental to a project if they aren't considered before hand. The control, reduction or elimination of those unwanted elements take a good mixture of proper equipment, a sensitive ear, and experience. Howard House Music engages all three.
Theatre and Film
Howard House Music and Sound has been an integral component of many theater productions, movies, and short films. Various roles from sound design, to board op; ( A1 and A2), to audio capture / sound recordist, to editing, are all within our experience. Additional roles from grip, to tech crew, to electrical, to lighting assistant (L2), to main / follow spot, and to assistant managing, are just a few others. Howard House Music and Sound is extremely versatile and can assist you in many different roles for your project.
